Rødt, hvitt og skrått

Rødt, hvitt og skrått (Red, White and Queer), is both a book and a four episode documantary about being gay in Norway.

"En annerledes barndom" (A different childhood) is about childhood, growing up and feeling different, falling in love with a person of the same sex, being afraid of being "discovered" and the same many experience.

"Ut av skapet og ut i verden" (Out of the closet and out in to the world) is about how young men and women emigrate to bigger cities as "sexual refugees". It also deals with the though process of coming out of the closet as gay or lesbian.

"Den vanskelige kjærligheten" (The difficult love) is about gay and lesbian couples who've been together for a long time. This episode also deals with the ones who've tried to make it even more difficult for same-sex couples over the years. The episode also adresses HIV/AIDS and the church.

"Mangfold" (Diversity) is about the diversity in the gay and lesbian community. Lesbians and gays are not one uniform group. We meet young and old, feminists, bears, dragqueens, the queers and a transgender person.
